ReviseGCSE is built for GCSE students, most of whom are under 18 — so we keep data collection to the minimum and follow UK GDPR.
Only what's needed to run your revision account: a username, an optional email address, your password (stored securely hashed, never in plain text), your exam board and subject choices, and your study activity (quiz scores, mock test results, AI tutor questions and writing submissions). We do not collect your address, phone number, or date of birth, and we do not store bank or card details — payments are confirmed by reference number or handled by the payment provider.
Your account details let you log in; your subject and exam board choices make sure you see the right content; and your study history powers your progress tracking, revision reminders and streaks. We don't use your data for advertising and we never sell it.
When you use the AI tutor, writing feedback or AI marking, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. A basic content filter runs first. AI grade estimates are indicative only and are not official marks.
Data is stored in our database with access restricted to the service itself and the site administrator. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Payment activation is handled manually by an administrator or by the payment provider — we never see full card details.
You can download everything we hold about you at any time (Account → Download my data), and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data (Account → Delete account). If you're under 18, a parent or guardian can make these requests on your behalf by contacting us.
We use a single login token stored in your browser so you stay signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
If this policy changes materially we will show a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
